I looked at a lot of little tripods and settled on this one because of three things.
First, it folds up slimmer than all of the others which is important because it needs to fit vertically next to my sunglasses and little 11 oz. Tiger travel thermos together in a single section of my tiny Think Tank Urban Approach 5, which it does perfectly. It occupies about the same amount of space as a slim candy bar and the top sits nearly flush with the top of my bag when fully-collapse and standing straight up.
Next, the universal ball head allows for any angle you could possibly need, as opposed to some of the others that had a much more limited range of movement. This is one of the reasons I couldn't use the Manfrotto PIXI, which lacked the ability to point the camera up into the air. This was a deal-breaker.
Last, aesthetics of the object itself are more in line with what I was looking for. The legs are so slim they draw virtually no attention to themselves, which is so important when shooting in public.
