The Desktop Publisher's Idea Book

The Desktop Publisher’s Idea Book by Chuck Green is the book I chose to review. This book contains a diverse collection of desktop publishing project ideas. In chapter one, the process of making your idea happen is explained and given in step by step directions. Chapter two provides tips on finding and working with up to par illustrators and photographers. Numerous desktop publishing project ideas and information about sources are given in chapter three. Selecting typefaces from display, serif, and sans serif is lightly mentioned. The steps needed to take to create binders, folders, books, brochures, business cards, tickets, envelopes, flyers, packages, signs, presentations, posters, bumper stickers, t-shirts, and more is thoroughly discussed. Page dimensions of projects are given as a guideline. Overall, Chuck Green takes your ideas to the next level by creating guidelines to turn them into projects. I found this book interesting and inspiring on a design standpoint.
