Designing with letters
Reviewed by Kalilan Goga
My first semester studying graphic design allows me to see, understand, and learn about the design. Yet, studying this field is giving me the privilege of learning the history of graphic design with Kevin Woodland whom assigned this book review that I’m presenting. Designing with letters is a book that was written by Carol Walklin. It’ is an amazing book, it tells us how the letter can be so important in the design. It is also telling us the letter, in its many aspects, is an area of study both rich and fascinating. It can intrigue and challenge every kind of intellect as well as provide a useful and often simple springboard for good design. What I really like in this book is how the letters are use in many illustrations, then gives such of great images or logos. Designing with letter is also a book that can teach a person as a new student in the graphic design field. It’s teaching a lot about the signs, symbols, Initials and individual letters, names, alphabets, also print and printing. In conclusion, I will recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn, see or understand how the letters can contribute in the design field.
